What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks my friend I felt it was a appropriate carry for the occasion 🤣 The reclining leather seats with butt shakers, Big screen and surround sound topped with gourmet coffee, does come at a price 😆
Actually this service was free 😲 When I bought the car it came with the first 3 years free and then I bought a 84 month /75000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.
Sure wish I had those leather/tear wipes then when I signed the contract though 😂
My first BMW but I have to say they sure pamper you. As I was waiting the technician actually sent me a video of the service he preformed introducing him self along with a undercarriage shot of all the check points while on the lift pretty cool👍🏻👊🏻
It is indeed a beautiful car! But for me BMWs have two wheels. They are the only MC with a 500k Club with any members. Over the last 40 years I’ve owned at least 20 BMW MCs. And you know what they say, “If you want to be happy for a day drink, if you want to be happy for a year marry, if you want to be happy for a lifetime, ride a BMW” 😀

Hey I like that one! Was it a special order or from a specific retailer? The one here has red covers specific to bass pro shops, I was wondering if yours was sort of the same thing? Thanks!
Mate it was a short run they did I think it was around 2014, black & blue g10. It is bucks china made version. I must the quality was much better than I expected & makes a fine edc. I picked it up recently on the secondary market.
Cheers
Mitch

Thank you Brother and Beautiful Bike !
I’ve road on and off the track many years and have sold all my bikes. This is my motorcycle with 4 wheels now 👍🏻 👊🏻 That scratches that itch for me in every area .

Thank you for the reply! Yeah mine is the china made one as well. Great knife except the sheepsfoot spring is a bit weak but that's no big deal. I like the 3 spring design and the sheepsfoot on the opposite side. I'll keep an eye out for that one thanks!

Many thanks JJ, that really is a special SAK  :)
Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)
Hope everyone has a good day :) I'm carrying Eric's Lambsfoot, and a case Barlow, gifted to me by JJ Cahill JJ Cahill for Random Tuesday :) Thanks JJ :)

It's quite a treat to see the Case Barlow hanging out with such great company; those burl covers are a thing of beauty! :D:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Good for you Jeff, I'm sure they were thrilled to see you :) Terrific trio there
One, at 93, is really sharp, and full of stories. She was SO happy to get a visit from her little brother, my 86 yr old father in law. Another, not so sharp. She kept asking what we were doing there and where we were going next. 🥴 But none should be forgotten, or left alone…

Great job on the re-blade !
Thank you kindly, Steve!

Everything was shaking...post and me...sorry. 5am

I kept rubbing my eyes. A long day on the road.
I didn’t realize it was out of focus.
moderate(?) change ... Put up the Classic Carbon Barlow and Canoe in "favor" of a RR1740 "XL" (4.25" closed) Classic Carbon Stockman, and a COLT CT609 Canoe with black G-10 (orzit Micarta?) and Ti Coated T-10 blades. A "Heavy Duty" canoe, IMHO, blade stock is callit 3/16 inch/4mm at the tang and spine.
Keeping the RR1743 Clasic Carbon "large" "Work Knife"/Sod Buster in my pocket until at least Friday.

They "may" be inexpensive knives (under $10 to 15 each) ... however, all the blades follow the line(s) of the handle, like (considerably) more spendy knives do, and they hold an edge, even when thinned and reprofiled to a ... ummm ... "keen" ... 10 degree per side/20 degree inclusive edge angle. (using a guided rod sharpener with a 10 degree slot) 😁👍
I believe this indicates the blades have a good heat treat?

The Colt canoe was moved to the Rough Rider/Rough Ryder line when Colt exited the cutlery market in 2015.
I am pretty sure the only things changed on the RR canoe (which I don't have) and the large moose (witch I do have the RR version of) was/is the shield, tang stamps, and maybe the model number. They kept the "twice as thick heavy duty" Ti Coated blades. I don't recall 100% if they were/are plasma coated. I think they were/are. I know the coating does not wear off easy.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.
I enjoy your comments, my friend🤙

I love a road trip, especially if it’s not TOO long, and seeing a lot of family is the reason. But getting home is the best part.

Jeff, if you were up near Apple Canyon, Galena or The Territory you were almost in Dad’s backyard

Great pic
Had a productive day around the house. Had these two with me today.

Fine pairing Paul :)
A few recent carry’s and shenanigan. 😁

Good to see you riding again John, did you get to see any fly-overs? I was surprised at the lack of publicity, particularly relating to the Derwent/Ladybower/Howden Dams :(
Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

I grabbed a toothpick and a scout today. :)
Many thanks my friend, I very much enjoyed carrying that generously-gifted Barlow :) That's another stunning combination my friend  :)

Have a great day everyone
