Sentimental favorites!Happy Father’s Day everyone!
I’m carrying the Eureka that my father-in-law gave me for Christmas in 2019. It was my first GEC and started me down quite the slippery slope. Much honor to him today for hooking me into this hobby.
The Conductor was my early Father’s Day gift from my wife. She’s.

Thanks for the kind words, Bob. Here's an old gathering of canoes that I need to update:Quite the collection those canoes must be, gathered together, Gary. Two fine canoes to begin " rowing" through the coming week. Hope it's a good one for you.

Thanks for the additional info, Vince. Thanks, Gary. "1912" is the serial number. The knife was made in 1990. The wood is cocobolo, I believe. Very nice gift from @JohnDF.

Glad you're finding them interesting, Jeff. Thanks for the links, Gary!
Was wondering how I missed those threads, but realized 2012 was my year in the hospital.
After taking pics of today’s pocket companions, I changed my mind after seeing the TL-29 mod thread.
I decided to put the Pal back, and dug out my first FrankenKnife.
Really like that 3 wood knife photo, and I like that modded blade on your Camillus!I picked these last night.
SW rope knife because I plan on cutting a whole lot of baling twine for supporting tomatoes, which will be needing that pretty soon.
The hawkbill in case we want salad again tonight, and the TL-29 by PAL Blade Co just because.View attachment 2223726
... I really need to repair it before I use it, so I took this one out of the cigar box that’s dedicated to knives I have fiddled, fettled, and farted around with. Camillus TL-29.View attachment 2223728
Happy Micarta Monday!
Superb. Beautiful knife. I really like zulu knives and this one is really nice.
I’m very glad you like it my friend, and thank you for the kind words! I can’t wait to see the finished product after you shine it up - the depth you’re able to get out of that burlap is phenomenal. It’ll be a great pair for sure. One evening in the near future, I’ll sit down with some sandpaper and bring the burlap Micarta up to a shine just like my 47. It has a buddy now!

Thanks for reminding me that I’ve got this concoction, Jack. I have used it on flat surfaces, and it worked fairly well, although it still needed the wire wheel on my bench grinder. I’m a bit skeptical about it’s ability to creep insideof those tight joints. We shall see.Ren-Wax do a Rust Remover, which is used by museums Jeff![]()
