This is Schradurday!DE33117A-8A97-49CD-BE36-01185F7EA2B4.jpeg47594435-E65F-4E1C-BDD2-BF4CAF019109.jpeg
SW 294 Serpentine Jack, which I find about ideal, and a 175+ Made for Draper Felt, which was “once the largest manufacturer of power looms for the textile industry in the US”. I also saw references to hats/fedoras made of Draper Felt…
So I can see how this sheepfoot style of blade could be a “standard” in that trade.
But then, I don’t know much, other than what I can find on my phone. 🥴
I do know it is just right for cutting the baling twine.

Have a fine day, Porch Friends.

I have a couple of those Draper Felts, one with a broken blade and one with the "Schrade" ground off the tang. Very cool slim serpentine jack!

My Jack and I thank you both!

Jer, not that long ago, the 175s were very cheap on the ‘bay.
Last time I looked, not so much.
The most elusive is the older version ~ no advertising, and scaled in Ivoroid.

Thought I'd give this 2-blade Lambfoot a go today. Staying on the homestead but should the need arise this knife will do nicely. Sausage and waffles for breakfast. It's cold here this morning. The Monitor kerosene heater just cycled on. Should have stayed in bed for another hour or so. :)
