Nice example of a 294 Jeff.This is Schradurday!View attachment 2229339View attachment 2229340
SW 294 Serpentine Jack, which I find about ideal, and a 175+ Made for Draper Felt, which was “once the largest manufacturer of power looms for the textile industry in the US”. I also saw references to hats/fedoras made of Draper Felt…
So I can see how this sheepfoot style of blade could be a “standard” in that trade.
But then, I don’t know much, other than what I can find on my phone.
I do know it is just right for cutting the baling twine.
Have a fine day, Porch Friends.
I have a couple of those Draper Felts, one with a broken blade and one with the "Schrade" ground off the tang. Very cool slim serpentine jack! This is Schradurday!View attachment 2229339View attachment 2229340

Thanks! The black Buck stockmen remind me of my late granddad. He was a treasure.Your black Buck is a beauty!I often carry a Chinese 373 that used to belong to my father-in-law; it's a handy stockman.

I'll keep my eyes peeled. My Jack and I thank you both!
Jer, not that long ago, the 175s were very cheap on the ‘bay.
Last time I looked, not so much.
The most elusive is the older version ~ no advertising, and scaled in Ivoroid.
