I make the turkey evey year; this is my first time doing a bacon wrap. It was pretty good, but I think I'd use twice as much bacon.

Thankful for all my friends on The Porch. I hope all the Americans here had a great day of family and feasting, and I hope all the rest of you had a better than usual Thursday.

Cool pic, Todd. That hat ought to keep you warm. :thumbsup:

Good looking turkey. 🦃

Handsome pair, Paul. Didn’t like the Viper etch much? 😉

Good looking spread! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Despite it just being the four of us this year, it somehow still managed to be a bit of a hectic day, and I didn’t manage any new knife pics. I had this one with me. 🦃

Great day. Long day.
Family has headed out, some will be flying home tomorrow to Texas, some to Colorado, and others driving not that far. I’ll just stagger over by the fire for a bit. 2AF70C27-E2E1-451B-A250-27DB8EDAE9EB.jpegA7D18975-AA27-4D9B-A17F-969E21AF0F2F.jpeg97BB75C1-626E-4F76-9D7C-5EA9A5885851.jpeg
I am exhausted. But they all liked my dinner, and we did not have to call Poison Control Hotline, so that’s a winner. And when noone was looking, Mrs Fleschwund sidled up to me, real close like, pulled me down so she could plant one on me, and said I did a great job.

Toted my old red Case Moose, and my new to me Schrade 225, with redundant blades. Perfectly suitable for taking meat off a turkey carcass, or taking thin slices off the end of a huge roast of bovine. But I ended up using my meat knives in the kitchen, so I did not get any gunk in the joints of my pocket knives. 😎

Thank you my friend!

Big Rose and the little Cleaver make a good pair. :thumbsup: 🤠
Many thanks David :) :thumbsup:
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thankful for our wonderful family, friends, and the community we're fortunate to be a part of🤗 Throwback Thursday with this monster Spanish Navaja pattern with a gorgeous hunk of stag...perfect for turkey carving in a few hours😁
