What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Headed to town in a bit for a doctors appointment for Cindy and then lunch at the Wagon Wheel Cafe with a visit after that to the Holiday Market to pick up the fixings for Christmas dinner at the sister-in-law's house. No breakfast - early lunch at the Wagon Wheel Cafe. This Sowbelly dressed in Ebony will be going to town with me.

Mostly between Marengo and Belvidere. The tiny creek along my property feeds a pond across the road, which dumps into the north branch of the North Branch. It’s amazing, but in early spring, northern pike come all the way up here and even further to spawn.
But I mostly focus above the confluence of the South and North branches, where I can wade to find the deeper holes where the smallmouth hunt. Sometimes, I bank fish where it’s not safe to wade.
The Kish certainly can be a confusing affair. It seems there are two South Branches. One is over your way, and the other branches off over around S. Perryville Rd, and heads off really southbound. Go figure... The farthest upstream I ever put-in was at the Hickory Hills Canoe Launch off S. Appleton Rd. Our paddling club was doing a river cleanup between there and who-knows-where at the end of Distillery Rd somewhere??? And on that day, I was packin' this imported Schrade in its Kydex sheath, hanging off my PFD.
