What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice to see the 33 getting some pocket time Patrick. Did you force that patina? Definitely an improvement. I really admire the shield on that little guy, one of the best imho.
I did not force a patina, and I'm ashamed to say I haven't even touched it since I got it. It may just be the way the lighting hit the beautiful satin blade that made it appear that way. That said, it will be receiving a culinary patina shortly! 😁 Thanks again!

A truly great knife the 33 is.

I have to agree, I'm enjoying it quite a bit, thanks! 😁

These two go together really well, both aesthetically and functionally. Now snow - go home! Back North where you belong.

I’ll for sure lay claim to Trapper Tuesday with Paul’s gifted Winchester Spey, but I was considering calling it Jigged Delrin Day, too.
Testicle taking Tuesday?

You obviously touched it this morning, and apparently you have a food date set up with her. You should be living guilt-free, far as I know ;)

Just got this stealth run 112 in magnacut, so I’ll be carrying this today and for a while. Seems pretty nice. Fit and finish is good, maybe not excellent, there are some gaps. One side of the rosewood is much lighter than the other side, which I like. But, it seems like maybe they were cut from the same piece of wood? I believe you can see grain continuity and a bit of light wood under the darker cover…is that how rosewood works, changing color like that, or maybe getting into the sapwood or something? In any case, I’m happy to have a fancy made in US 112😁

Sleet and frozen rain today -- will be sticking close to home with a 59 in the pocket...

These 59s were a great run. Really like the DI covers on this one. Great figure in the grain.

Ebony on Tuesday...

What a combo! And in Ebony too! Awesome pair.

Is that a 3" barrel? 🤔

Yes. It is a 3" Model 65-2. A great balance between size and weight to help with comfort while carrying and shooting.

That fixed blade is rocking Gary! I can't quite make out the maker's mark. Maybe you can share when you carry it tomorrow? ;)
Thanks! That knife and sheath are from O'Hare Knives, a Canadian maker. It was a gift many years ago. Damasteel and Black Ash Burl. A nice knife. I believe it is his Sparrow pattern.

In Honduran Rosewood, there is a clear demarcation between heartwood and sapwood, and the sapwood is usually very pale. There is a lot of color variability in Honduran Rosewood. Scroll through all of the pictures here to get a good idea:

I didn't realise it had been that long Tom! Welcome back :)

Great Lamb pic John, looks like you had a good day out :)

Very generous :)

I'm glad it made it Tyson :) Let me know what you think of the tea, the guy in the Yorkshire shop swore it tasted just like toast and jam! :D Watch your teeth on those Yorkshire Mixtures! I had a girlfriend who lived near the factory, and you could smell the place for miles, at certain times of day! :D

I like that AG ! 👍

Lovely pair of old bones !

Instead of watching the paint dry, I will watch the snow melt.

One for cleaning, one for cutting.

I think I have been absent since sometime in 2021. Just life and stuff got busy. I’ve been having a lot of fun catching up on old posts though, especially following stories here in the Traditional forum that play out over a couple of pages. Beautiful carries today Jack, especially enjoying those two fantastic shields!

Holy cow Mr. P! :) :thumbsup::cool:

These for me today. And a question: I have a “like” button, can someone direct me to the “love” button I can’t seem to find on my own? “Like” just doesn’t quite go far enough for many of knives I am seeing.

I am on mobile and how it works for me is to hold down (long press) on the like button, and when you release the other options should pop up.
