Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is a Rough Rider smooth tobacco bone locking trapper (thanks, Todd). FWIW, the same knife was my Locking Knife of the Week only 2 weeks ago.

The Remington nerd in me appreciates that they are in the r-4 and r-5 in order.
Thanks buddy!Sweet pair buddy !
That yellow rose handle is pretty cool. Your patina is looking exceptional on this example, too!
Thank you my friend, I love the single blade 86 pattern and the yellow bone. Polished blades are unpredictable with the patina, sometimes I have to polish it off and start over but this one is pretty cool. That yellow rose handle is pretty cool. I like your ode to the united nations Mr.P.![]()
To coincide with Primble's "Foreign Friday" I've grabbed my green bone Bulldog with the favored acorn shield (plus something Swiss!).

Gives me a nostalgic rush, thousand years ago had a GF called Tina...like the knife she was glossy, curved and very sharpthe SAK reminds me of a pleasant rail trip in Switzerland and an Opinel is the greatest of travel knives: superb slicers, not heavy, tough and easy to replace if lost- some fine work on that wood on yours but it's face free
The locking collars can take on a very nice colour too. But...surely only a No.13 needs a belt sheath (full scabbard ) ?
Enjoy that week-end of yours, Will
At least for another day and 1/2, before Old Man Winter reminds us that it’s still early February. Having seen heavy snows on Valentine’s Day, I don’t need reminding.
I actually hope we get more snow/rain, so we get up to average.View attachment 2488894View attachment 2488895
Cool knives and ice creamBlack Friday choices. Somehow a need for a gallon of milk derailed our date night into a full tilt grocery run. Oh well, I scored some ice cream out of it.

Like that combo! Cocobolo is aging nicely.
Good Knife!Carrying this able single blade Bunny Knife. Not much going on - maybe a trip to town later this afternoon to pick up a prescription at Rite Aid. Oatmeal for breakfast - babying my gums for Super Bowl snacks.

Thanks Todd. That makes sense. I don’t have to worry about humidity around here so it’s any knife any day.Looking good Bart. Those WTs are super knives, I don’t carry mine as much as I should. I find myself carrying them more in the summer due to the extreme humidity we get around here.
Thanks!
Very nice carry today Jack.![]()
