What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I gave Vik this Schrade Hawk to go harvest lettuce for salad, then after supper, I used it to cut the scapes off the garlic plants. The scape is where the plant flowers and sets seed, and removing them causes the plant to divert all it’s energy into making larger bulbs. Bonus is that the scapes are delicious.

Funny, my wife and I were just recently talking about that with garlic plants, trying to remember what those things were called! Now if it ever comes up in Jeopardy I’ll have the upper hand on that question (or answer)! Great knife there!

Jeopardy heck. I want to see you act out scapes in Charades. 😁

Glad you like the old Schrade. Hard to beat a hawk in the garden.
