What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Frank, are those 305’s? I think I may need one in my life.

ETA: Nvm, I see the 301 stamp.

I don't have the Buck Forum Knife in stag (I wish I did) but Buck did also make a special factory Micarta version. Mine is a 301 as well.

While the stag would be the bee’s knees, that micarta is right up my alley, too. Very nice.
Thanks, & I agree. The stag is better & I would love to have one, but I'm not complaining about my Micarta (I'm glad I was able to snag one when they came out) 🤣
I wish they would keep this two blade flat ground model going. It's been a great knife 👍

Happy Father’s Day porch!

Sticking with the red theme, I have prepared myself for more potential father’s day bottle opening and food slicing needs 🍻🥩

yep. thems defanately red. Redder than a SAK, maybe.
brighter there no doubt. 😳👍

about as bright red as my 10th grade English Teacher after the following verbal exchange at the start of class one Wednesday morn':
I: "Mz. B? What does "y-e-s" spell?"
Mz. B: Gave the right answer.
I: "ok. what does " E - y - e - s" spell?"
Mz B after a bit of consernation "THERE AIN'T NO SUCH F*KING WORD!! 😡😡😡😡
I: Really?!? Tell me ... what do you see with? 😇

For some "strange" and/or "odd" reason I was NOT one of Mz. B's preferred students. 😳🥺

She was "upset" I never turned in homework, didn't appear to b paying attention in class (honestly, most days I drew during class), and to "add insult to injury" I was always first to finish and turn in the quizzes and tests ... and either aced the quizzes and tests, or missed 1 or two questions.

However, she might have appriciated I had* excellent penmanship.
Some of my classmate's "writing" looked like a bunch of scribbles or worms or something on the paper (TBH I doubt they could reed their own writing) ... onna "good" day when they were trying to write neatly.

(*not so much 53 years later. 🤔🤨☹️)
Canoes of the Week assigned to me by my rotation schedule are virtually "twins". I should probably adjust the schedule a little bit, now that this coincidence has come to my attention, but I kinda like the idea of carrying a couple of Case canoes that are almost clones.

Is the lower with lined bolsters equipped with stainless blades?

Both look gr8.

Love the patina you got going on the CV model.
Your canoist can still see where he going ... unlike the poor guy on mine ... see to the nearest thwort, he can't ... forget seeing the bow ...
Amazing he ain't gone aground on a sandbar ... through a fallen tree ... run over a swimming moose or adult Kodiac Bear ... or collided with some guy inna sit inside (or sit on top) kayak.

Start of the new week:
Imperial Frontier Double Eagle stockman. (essentially a brass bolstered 8OT with stainless blades, Rosewood(?) covers and, pinned construction.)
Buck 389 Canoe with "walnut" covers. This is my first canoe.
The Toferner is a carry-over from the "weekend".

Beautiful Harry !😍

I picked colorful ..... looks like you did too !😍

😍 the watch chain pen knife. 😍
Who maid it?
Closed length?
Is it "safe" to presume the two blades shown get "stoopit scary sharp" with little to no effort on oil or water stones, and/or smooth creek/river rocks?
(I'm guessing the fingernail file blade don't. 😇)

Cattaruagus
Two and five eighths inches.
Yep ..... it's safe.
File blade don't count ...... a heck of a file blade too.
That knife came from the last President of Cattaraugus Cutlery Co.'s collection. ;)😊

Lovely as always Mr P!🤠

Thank you my friend ....... a fine pair for you today.😍
I know you're fixed with a fine lamb in your pocket. 😊🐑

😍 There it is!!! I certainly didn't expect two of them to show up! Thanks for sharing, Todd! As for the "haven't been around much lately"... Don't do that. Lol Hope all is well, buddy!!! 👊🏻
All is well Chris, just been busy with a lot of family stuff and trying to finish up some long overdue projects. Hope all is well with you.

How ya liking retirement so far?
Hey Mike! I’m liking it so far, but I think I’m busier than I was when I was working!
🤣
My Dad passed in 2017. As I was working on the !*&* motorcycle this morning I was wishing I could talk to him. I'm an engineer and am fairly proficient at figuring things out, but Dad was a journeyman millwright. He knew how to do stuff :) I could use his advice right about now 🛠️
So Happy Father's Day to all you fathers and all you that have fathers 🎂

New boots 😃
I guess we never outgrow the need for some good fatherly advice. 👍
