A day at the races.

Mission Motorsport a veterans charity arranged a great day today.

Drivers turned up in various sporty British cars you asked for a spin on the track in what you fancied and they took you out.

I rode in a Lotus,E type Jag,Noble and Mclaren F1 (that was very fast).

Here is a video I took in the Mclaren F1 you can hear how hard he was pushing it.

Nice pic, everything in that picture looks well used! Interesting pickup combo going on there.
Nothing improves a pawn shop Strat like a P90 and Tele bridge pickup.😎
Those berries sure look good. The shape reminds me more of the wild black raspberries that I used to forage in the woods where I grew up in upstate NY.

Today's carry, a twofer with a Moki Glory that my father gave me almost 30 years ago, and a more recent GEC:

Wild Black Raspberries is what they are.
My woods are full of them, as well as all around the edges of my property, and all around the pond.

About 40 years ago, my neighbors put in some domestic Blackberry plants. They spread onto my property. They got sick of their agressive spreading and wicked thorns, and ripped them out. On my side, I’ve thinned and pruned, put down a foot of woodchips to keep them moist, and smother weeds, and cut paths so I could get in there to pick. They are huge and juicy, but nowhere near as reliable is the Wild Black Raspberries. I have considered ripping them out.

My lovely daughter purchased an afternoon knife making class at THE BLACKSMITH EXPERIENCE for Father's Day so I could have something I wanted to do one day while everyone else was at the beach during our Alabama vacation. It was tons of fun and I learned a lot. My knife is far from perfect but it's definitely in the forever section of the collection.
