What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Easy does it. You just got it, don’t want to wear that Buck out!
I notice you tote that SAK most days. What is it, Pioneer? Cadet?
The SAK is a Pioneer. I also have a Cadet & an Electrician, but the Pioneer gets carried the most.

Pretty sure I'm not going to hurt that 110. One of my 110s is 50 years old and it still gets carried & used. That thing has gutted a lot of deer, scraped a lot of gaskets, and cut up a lot of apples & sammiches. Sometimes all in the same day. I have "a few" nice knives, but last December I just decided to go back to carrying a Buck, and I've had either a 112 or a 110 on me almost every day since.

My only real gripe with Bucks was that I would've preferred they offer the classics, like the 110, 112, and 119 in a better steel than the 420HC or S30V. This one is in Magnacut & I'm intend to put it through its paces. I think the only thing that will get me to take it off is when Buck Custom shop introduces the 112 in Magnacut.

For some reason, Pony Jacks give me the fizz every time. 😁 Shoot any bugs today?
Didn’t shoot any, but I smashed one with a stick. These Spotted Lanternflies are like an invading army, they seem to be organized. The one I got was leading a group up a grapevine. I guess you could say his command was terminated with extreme prejudice!

I got one of the limited edition 112s in Magnacut and I love it. It gets carried a lot.

It’s a miracle, really! 😆

It’s that time again GT. 🍻

Thanks for the Oktoberfest reminder, Pat!:thumbsup:🤓
I usually first see that beer in early August when we vacation in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, but this year we're going a couple of weeks later than we usually do. I noticed yesterday that my usual grocery store has a display of several brands, but I'll wait until vacation (starting this Saturday) to buy my first batch of the season.

Have a peaceful Sunday, folks!

Not much going on today. Coffee with sausage and waffles for breakfast and then we'll decide what we'll do today. To be able to bear all that excitement, I'll carry this Tribal Lock for the day.

Couple of handsome Tribal Locks, Gary & ED!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Incredible horn on that one, Will!:cool::cool:

Been dealing with some kind of sickness the last week. I'm exhausted, but I finally have off tomorrow and Tuesday. Laying on the couch watching the NASCAR race with this pretty piece of stag.

Sweet stag! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
Hope your time off helps you get healthy again.

Got out for a little late walk at the park. Saw several beavers and muskrats.

Splendid trio of old Barlows!:thumbsup::cool:

I pronounce it "bow - KER" which is probably wrong. 🙄
I ain't sure how the " ö " of "Böker" is supposed to be pronounced. 🤔

(EDIT: Considering the cost for the Solingen Tree Brand knives "Broker" would be an accurate pronunciation ... and/or situation ...)
"bow" like "bow and arrow" or "bow" like "bow to the Queen of Slime"? ;)🤓

Sublime pair of knives! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The car's packed and I'm ready to go 🏎️ Heading to Tennessee tomorrow, off the grid and in the boondocks 🏞️🌌:)
CSC Pinch around the house today while packing.

"bow" like "bow and arrow" or "bow" like "bow to the Queen of Slime"?
"bow" as in an her's hare accessory and/or the arrow launcher 😊.

Now you mention it ... the "bow" a USA President isn't supposed to do to another country's leeder ... Queen or King of Slime or not, is the "right" pronunciation. 🤔
U was a teach ... what is the " ö " sound in "English"?

Your hound looks mesmerized by that bite of chicken 🐓 😍👍🤠
Don't let her good looks fool you, those are the eyes of frustration & patience, I was taking too long with the pic... She's just too polite to make a fuss 🐕
Rest assured, she got plenty of chicken goodness & crispy skins. If you look in the dictionary for the definition of spoiled her picture should be there as a reference 😂

I swapped my churchgoin knives for a couple of more appropriate ones yesterday.

For today, I picked a Pioneer, a Camillus Stockman in polished elk antler, and a Daado in rag micarta.

That's the first time I saw polished elk on Camillus, was that a rarity for them.

Ignore my posts in the 39 thread.

This ones definetly wood and the slip is leather. 😁

That's an awesome looking pair! 👍
Who made the slip if you don't mind me asking?

Off the bench and in my pocket. Cleaned sharpened tighten up the blade wiggle. I love these old Imperials that carbon steel takes an edge in seconds. I see I need to adjust the grind on my main blade, will take care of that tonight.
Nice job! My late grandfather enjoyed the Imperial brand. True to his nature he was budget minded, but appreciated quality where it counts. I have an old Imperial Barlow of his, after a good cleaning that old piece still has a great action after all the years & like you say it takes very little to make a shaving edge 😉

I'm honestly unfamiliar with the brand but those are simply amazing looking pieces!
Can you tell me more about them?

For wood Wendsday ... and beyond ... I think ...
Victorinox Swiss Spirit Companion.
Imperial Frontier 4435 Double Eagle Stockman.
2015 Standard Production Buck 110.

Very close to my Junior High, High School, College, and first 5 or 6 years in the workforce carry.
I carried a stockman, "Demo" knife (not a SAK), and a 110 every day back then.
