Today’s carry is an old redbone jack from Challenge Cutlery Corp., Bridgeport, Conn. It’s more worn out than it looks. My thumb is covering a pretty decent repair to the bone and the pen blade has been ground to a punch. Oh well - paid $16.50 for it at an antique store near SMKW.

Carrying my AG Russell Seki lockback today. Hotter and humid here today. I'll spend some time with this very sobering read. Reminds me of friends I lost in the Vietnam War. My Air Force service had me in other places. It might be why I'm still around today.......

Micarta Monday? No! Marrow Monday

Most Mondays I usually post my current SAK of the Week and my Stockman of the Week. But since I'm not using my rotation schedule while on vacation, I'll post a couple photos of a medium stockman knife I bought last month and took to Michigan's U.P. with me.
Here's a Rough Ryder silver sparkle stockman with some grapes I cut up to put in my oatmeal. The California/Turkish/muskrat clip on this knife is a SPIKE, and it slices effortlessly!


Here's the knife on the railing of the porch/deck/gazebo combo on the east and south sides of the cottage we're renting. The white stuff in the background is the Cedarville marina that's only a couple of blocks west of us.
