What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I believe I was with you when you bought those two old blonde Barlows. Am I right?
As I remember, they feel silky smooth like old friends.
Sorry Jeff , but you were not . I bought one in Broadhead , Wi. and the other off of the bay .
You were with me though when I bought the 2 Colonials , which were in a presentation box . You even remarked on how heavy they were . I wonder if they were made by their Old Cutler division . They are some well made knives .

Definitely a good read. Also, a jackknife plays a major role in an incident described in the book.

Yes, I just read the jackknife incident. Not to make light of the story but I think the moral is "Don't steal someone's jackknife".
I think this is the incident you're referring to, Gary. I wonder what kind of jackknife it was......

Glad to hear Bart. This is an earlier creation. It has very good fit and finish. I cannot speak for the newer models.
Sounds like it might be worth checking them out.
Well friends this was my first time taking a GEC along for a vacation and I’m sure glad I was able to make some unforgettable memories adventuring through Hawaii with this knife at my side. Mahalo, Maui! 🌴🌺

Great pictures. Looks like a fun trip👍 I’m always scared to send a nice knife through checked luggage.
Got a GECC 39 and stag 93 today.

Awesome stag on the one, Paul!
Hope you feel better soon, Bart. I suppose you can take some solace that you were able to avoid the plague for over 4 years, and that Swayback Jack should make any traditional fan feel better.

Thanks Gary. I was starting to think I was immune but no such luck.

These two knives have been made by a master cutler. They are of course one of a kind. They were specifically ordered by me.
They are made from high quality materials as horse hoof and modern steel. And they cost less than two industrial knives from certain brands....

Beautiful JM!

I especially love the top one. Who was the cutler?

J-M very nice designs. The materials and designs are spot on.😍

I need to get to the farm today. The knives I haven't shown them are piling up.
The big one is a Juca. Then; Jarvenpaa, K. Lammi, and M. Nieto.

It's going to be a hot, damp, day, perfect for my Johnny-the-fox Iberian friction folder. But it might not be too hot to bring along the AGR sowbelly trapper.

I'll make my weekly Costco run today then pick up my grandsons at a day camp, where today is "Mud Day". Oh great!
I'm going to pocket my Lake-CAS Iberia collaboration. At least for the morning.
Have a good one!
