As I ended my last meeting for the day my wife cane into my office and said "Put your shoes on, we need to go to Effie Yeaw."

So we saw this little crane:

Who flew over to join the big crane:

Better shot of the channel where I took that, with the river in the background:

Then we saw these turkey hens on the way out:

Only thing better than a lamb is two lambs

Classy pair of lambs, Jack!

Splendid whittler!

Enjoying a lemon & blueberry scone from our favorite local bakery before I get back to work on Mrs. Hoovies car. (Man upholstery work is tedious)

Case Eureka Jack & the IXL Lamb today.

Have a great Sunday y'all!
Tasty pair of knives, Zach!
My wife occasionally brings home blueberry scones from the bakery next door. They're a good breakfast treat, but I like them even better as a bedtime snack with ice cream.
Superb half-congress, Chris! I don't recognize that brand; can you tell me a little bit about it?

carrying my Schatt & Morgan Office knife (Pen knife) with mammoth scales

Classic knife!
The scales don't look THAT big! ;)

Unfortunately , I broke my calcaneus (heel bone) about a week ago. Today was my first venture out of the house post-surgery, cast and all. This USA Buck 303 Cadet was sitting in the workshop In need of a light cleaning, so I dropped it in the pocket of my Adidas pants on the way out the door.
It should be perfectly capable to do most jobs, but so light and small you don’t notice it in your pocket.
Sending healing vibes out to any of you fellas who’ve had better days. 😜
I hope your heel heals ASAP!

A copper! A copper!

Fer sure, Gary, totally! ;)
😁

Big day for me on the sentimental side. I decided to open a long forgotten treasure chest i dug out from the far reaches of my closet. Along with many treasures I found my Dad's EDC ! He carried this red bone Robeson Suredge 622056 every summer when he was happiest renovating his 1750 farm house in Southern Vermont. I have often wondered where this knife went. I polished it up and I feel closer to him holding it. He passed his love of traditional slip joints onto me at an early age. He passed away at 100 years old in 2021. I'll be carrying this old knife for a while ...View attachment 2668107View attachment 2668108
Wonderful family heirloom!

3 fine knives, but I can't take my eyes off that stag sowbelly!

Captivating stag camp knife!

In the pocket today is a WWII Pilot’s Knife made by Imperial, Prov. R.I., for members of the U. S. Army Air Corps.
Fantastic! You have an impressive bunch of WWII knives.

The pics are taken in Rauðhólar, a rather large area that basically consists of a cluster of pseudo-craters. They are formed when molten lava flows over wetlands causing the water to boil. The pressure of the steam from the boiling water then causes explosions, which in turn creates these magnificent pseudo-craters. The bright crimson red colour you see, is caused or coloured by the oxidation of the iron in the lava.
Appealing knife, and superb photos of landscape totally foreign to me!

Some plinking later.

Grand golden stag, Bob, that matches the cheerful trigger on your handgun!

What's the handle material on your lambsfoot, Steve? Some kind of glowing horn?

Today's carry is a Case Teardrop Jack in 6.5 Bonestag and Tru-Sharp. Flat spring in all three blade positions, true to it's Bose heritage.
Here is Tony's comment about it:

Really nice bonestag on your teardrop, Frank!
I'd like to get an example of Case bonestag, but I'm reluctant to order online for fear of getting an "anemic", washed-out one.

These 2 are in my pockets . Northfield 32 and 2019 BF Knife

Congrats on your new 32, Harry; that's a fistful of stag!

Superb duo, Mitch; really like the wood on your Le Thiers!

BUCK 301
Best part is it even has instructions on how to use, etched right on the handle WOooHOoo

🤓

Two of my favorites. I really like bargain work knives. Especially ones that are built really well. Both of these check all the boxes for my needs and requirements.

Tough and inexpensive - don't need more than that!

VERY attractive and solid-looking knife, Will!
Really like the color and grain of the wood; what kind of wood is it?

...

They sure did a nice job in paying tribute to a classic old pocket knife pattern.
My Grandpa carried a Camillus Silver Sword Easy Open Jack just like that.

...
Thanks, Jeff. Much of the credit goes to paulhilborn paulhilborn , who added the EO notch and modified the secondary blade!

Cuenca view from the old town.

Wonderful photos of your trip, John!
Many of your pics remind me of my trip to Spain almost 10 years ago, except I was seeing the scenery from busses and trains.
One of the things that struck me on my visit was how much older Spain is than the U.S., as illustrated in your photos above overlooking the city.

Ellie's Knife has a talent for herding!!
