This little 309 ought tick all the right boxes for me -- serpentine frame, pen configuration (if not a true single-spring penknife), sawcut delrin. I even remember Dad carrying one a lot like this when I was little. I've just never been able to get the darn thing sharp enough. So this weekend I took the nuclear option and convexed the edge. Now it will pass all the usual tests, although it still doesn't feel particularly sharp. Buck's 420HC is weird stuff.

Thanks, Gev. But Steve, you have the nicer long pull, while mine is the one I least like, the nick IN the swedge.

Hello!

Carried one of my childhood's Taschenfeitln with me today, because I was feeling a little nostalgic:

Today starts a new week on my 7DC (seven day carry) rotation. The Case Chestnut CV Medium Stockman is back in the drawer after serving me well.

This week it's the Case Humpback Whittler in Red Bone CV. Case did a good job on the red bone handles on this one.
