Right on Bob!Great coin pocket knife.![]()
Your new fixed blade is very similar to my Daado. Love that shape.Hope everyone is doing well, I'll try to post more often. Recent additions have been fixed blades, and that's also what I have carried the most of late.
GEC 15 and Carter Cutlery Perfect Neck Knife at home today.

Yes, by my tastes they waste a lot of money on All Hallowās Eve junk. But itās their money, I guess.
I think I know that cemetary. I know Iāve seen that sign. That car reminds me of a sign or should say billboard were I grew up.
Drive carefully we can wait ā¦

My apologies! Thanks for your kind comment on the photo Jeff . I am not aware of any Pickled Wisconsin Food Wooden Case . Below are the only boxes I can think of that I have used are below .

You have all three. As Johnny Carson used to say, āI did not know thatā.Not a good day to go outside and do a little work so I decided to clean and sharpen what I often carry .
![]()
And while I was in Bay 3 I finally took a group photo of these 3 . I had hand sharpened these and oiled them a couple of weeks ago and they were still in Bay 3 . In order going down . Camillus , Imperial , and Pal .
![]()
I imagine that the Camillus may be older because it has the Brass Liners and the Imperial and Pal have Steel Liners . So maybe the Camillus was made before the big decision was made too save the Brass for military uses .

Great burl on that Lamb. And wow ~ the girls have gotten big!I took this pic yesterday, and posted it over in the Guardians thread, but Iāve still got the same knife with me today, soā¦

Hope everyone had a nice Halloween. Ours was cold-ish (certainly colder than itās been around here recently), with a fair amount of wet, slushy snow that came down the first half of the day. Of course, you wouldnāt know it by looking at these pics I took of the girls Halloween costumes, and thatās because I took them over the weekend so I wouldnāt have to worry about it on the day.

Eleanor went as Taylor Swift. Wouldnāt have been my first choice, but hey, my job is just to help put the costume together.Scoutās costume is maybe a bit obscure. She was a minor character from the film version of Matilda the Musical, Hortensia, aka the red beret girl.

Maybe the car has not been stripped because itās kind of visible there on the edge of that lawn.Rust RedOr is it patina ?
Could be contagious so keep Ben Hogan under observation
Really like that Number (License) Plate, amazing a trophy hunter hasn't carried it off ! Here our Number Plates are quite simple: usually 3 letters plus 3 numbers, I found a dumped big Citroen CX on a lot which still had its plate which was exactly the name of a current GF at the timeShe was delighted, but then I moved on to girls with longer names....etc
Thatās a great lookin fixed blade!
Itās been many many years ago but I think it was off of grand avenue a very busy street and why they probably put that billboard there .Your new fixed blade is very similar to my Daado. Love that shape.

Vik likes to toss out some of the weird hybrid squash/pumpkins that I give her. Theyāre really promiscuous, and odd genetic variants always come up. Seed savers have to separate varieties by a mile to prevent cross pollination.
Some are good to eat, some not. And I planted some Bloody Butcher Indian corn for pole beans to climb, with a side benefit of dark red kernels on huge cobs that I thought sheād like to decorate the door with, but theyāre just sitting in a produce box I snagged at Costco. Sheās too busy for that decorating stuff.
I think I know that cemetary. I know Iāve seen that sign.
Ditto what Harry said. Love āem
My apologies!
Yes, I was thinking of the L.F.&C. Cleaver crate. The memory part of my brain slips a cog once in a while.
Now youāve got me thinking of roadkill with mustard greens.
You have all three. As Johnny Carson used to say, āI did not know thatā.
Correct me if Iām wrong, but Pal Blade Co. branched out from only fixed blades into slipjoints by buying up all of the patents and tooling from Remington when Rem went 100% into making brass shell casings for the war. Probably took on the cutlers too.

Had a family friend who had multiple Citroens. Not the SM with the Maserati twin cam v6, though. But I remember him showing off the hydraulic suspension in the church parking lot.

Battery terminal cleaner ????Bonus pic...
Well I got one good deed done for today. Helped a husband & wife with a broke down car down the road from us. I saw them on my way back from town.
I didn't have to use the S&M but it was there in spirit waiting to help out.
But how many people can recognize the object next to it nowadays though???...
