When I met up with Duncan yesterday, he very generously gifted me three lovely knives, including this cracking old Carl Schlieper, which I'm carrying today

My first slip joint from Solingen. Hen & Rooster Slimline Trapper with yellow celluloid covers. Not sure why, but I REALLY like the color of the covers. A lot more golden than the usual yellow delrin.

On duty in the lab tonight so this one is a Rough Rider Doctor's knife in white bone. I have bought a few RRs recently and have found them to be much more than adequate. The benefit has been that I have been able to try 6 different styles in different materials for roughly the cost of one 'Brand Name' knife. I will probably eventually move up market.....but not in the same quantities!

I noticed that also with mine. Everything is just how it shouldbe and its the first GEC that I can shave with right from the tube. Iam however carrying my new autumn gold wharnie 72 today though.
This beauty arrived yesterday. Try as I might, I truly can not find a single flaw with this knife, no matter how tiny and nitpicky. It's flawless, and came with a very sharp edge, just as they should.
