Mike, I don't know much about it and would like to learn more. It certainly has been cleaned

I have tried to research the tang stamp and have not had much luck finding many other examples. If I "read the knife" it looks to be the real deal. I would sure like to see a picture of the one you had, if you have one, and in particular the tang stamp.

I think Waynorth had one if I remember correctly.

Thanks in advance

I think it was Charlie that told me mine was by Schrade. The person I gave it to also thought it was a Schrade.

Levine's says wholesale, 1893 to 1920s.

Excellent and much appreciated, Mike!! My tang stamp is obviously different, but since the knives were made for them by different cutlery companies, I would think there would be some differences in the stamp. Although yours is the second stamp I have seen, excluding mine, and both that one and yours were the same.

I got this Beautiful rosewood burl John Lloyd folder today....... Not bad! Just in time for wooden Wednesday! It really did well when I put it to work, this thing is a freakin lightsaber. Boxes and zip-ties tremble in its presence!:D

Thanks for the compliments guys! The blade grind and swedges are stunning and acurate. I'm going to take some "glamour" shots this weekend.... That burl really revs my engine!

One more for the road....
