Glad you like it Jeff! You’re very welcome! I hope that it serves you well, for many years to come. Lance
You betcha🤙 Thanks!
But how bout those Redwings?
Second set of soles, suppose I oughta polish them.
If you'll excuse my calling it a 194, the 194 is such a fine pattern. I wonder if they made yours in bone after having already switched to delrin for the Old Timers? How old is that beauty?

First outdoor sowin of the season
I forgot almost. Peas like this weather.
I would be hard pressed not to cast a crankbait and do a slow retrieve. Looks like a great spot
That's just a no current backwater. The channel's around that bend. During the summer, the backwater is shallow and full of moss, but about now, northerns come up in there and spawn. So they say.

Totin' my Chris Montgomery made custom fixed blade and a Northwoods Ocoee Jack in Desert Ironwood for Tuesday. 😊
This pairing fits nicely in a leather fixed blade/folder pocket sheath that I have.

Chris once participated frequently in this totin' thread and when he was making this knife, he would occasionally show his progress. I got more and more interested as it neared completion and dropped him a PM, asking if he would consider selling it. I expected the answer to be no and was surprised when he replied and priced it to me. Featured in a knife magazine some years ago.... sad to admit that I can't recall which magazine ...... Knife World seems right.

Damascus and Koa Wood Bird and Trout Knife specs :
Damascus of 1084 and 15N20 in a twisted W's pattern.
Ferrule is wrought iron with a coined 416 spacer.
3 1/2" blade and 7 7/8” OAL.

Intricate bolster and a beautifully well-balanced knife, some real artisanship there 🐈

I never really approve of those threads that say if you had to have only one or two knives (then what are you doing in a knife forum???:rolleyes: ) but I think I could manage with that one as my fixed knife...would have to have many more pocket-knives though to augment it :D

Yes Sir, Jeff, love me some Red Wings! I currently have 5 pairs. One pair might even be the same as yours. My Iron Rangers, that we’re in my picture, we’re recently re-soled with Vibram lugs, along with a leather mid sole added. They’re my favorites.
