Welcome to to the Traditional Forum!
The goal of the Traditional Forum is to provide a place where friends can talk about their traditional knives and share information about them in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Folks have asked for detailed guidelines of what is allowed in the Traditional Forum, and those are given below. But in short, there are three basic guidelines, which should be enough to get you going:

If you obtain one (or more) you (probably) shant regret it.
If you don't get one (or more) there is a elevated probability you will regret.
Regret seems to be a fairly common reaction after the Forum Knife is sold out. More than a "few" have expressed their disappointment that they did not get the 2022 Bunny Knife (among others), for example.

I was gifted one. I doubt anything else I obtain in 2025 will steal the crown as (my) (Traditional) Knife Of The Year.

Your Bro-In-Law has a very nice example.

Going with my Stag Shadow Trapper from John Lloyd for Stagurday. I still can't believe I was lucky enough to snag this one off the exchange almost a decade ago. If I had to pick a favorite, this one would be it.

I'm carrying the pruner because it's my weed-whackin' knife. Not for cutting the greenery, but the deep recurve makes it the best knife I own for cutting the string when installing it on the weed whacking machine.
