JTF, Reference the road signs to various locations, are they still in Miles or have they been converted to Kilometers? Thanks. John
Road signs are in miles as are our speedos,we fill up in litres but talk about MPG (I haven’t a clue in litres).JTF, Reference the road signs to various locations, are they still in Miles or have they been converted to Kilometers? Thanks. John
I'm currently rereading George Orwell's novel 1984, published in 1949 and describing a fictional future in which the former UK is run by the English Socialist Party (headed by Big Brother). Yesterday I read a chapter in which a very old man gets into an argument with the bartender in a pub because the old man wants a pint of beer, but since "the revolution" beer is only sold in liters and half-liters. Better enjoy the pints while you can, John!Road signs are in miles as are our speedos,we fill up in litres but talk about MPG (I haven’t a clue in litres).
We measure wood in inches then go and buy it in metric units, thank goodness beer is still sold in pints…
We drive on the left which is the right side.![]()
Ha! I just came across your photos posted in imgur. Is the single-blade knife considered a Trapper, a Jack, or something entirely different? It’s gonna be one of these three for the foreseeable future.

I’m really not sure. That is a pattern, I think originally designed by Jared oeser that he coined “native”. Very useful blade shape, I find, combining the advantages of a straight edge with strong tip and a curved edge into one.Ha! I just came across your photos posted in imgur.
