What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

That reminds me of the two years I lived in the Excelsior district, on Persia close to Ocean. All summer long, foggy and windy and 60 degrees.

Oh my word those are great photos, what views makes us humans look so small.

If I live nearby I would be constantly visiting.

Thanks for the insite. 😍

Thats very kind of you to say so.

Many years ago when I came out of the hospital I realised there were so many things close by that we know of but dont visit.

So I decided I would visit as many places as possible, the history and culture is all around us in England, sometimes you just have to look a little harder.

We take things for granted to much in this life.

I get the same pleasure in other countrys when I discover something.
JTF. Other than a brief trip to London from Greenham Common Airbase, which I did get to visit the Imperial War Museum, my total time actually walking around in England was a brief visit to Norfolk, rode a double deck bus back to base, when at Sculthorpe Air Base. Ironically one day at Sculthorpe before we went into Isolation, another NCO and I took our rucksacks and walked thru the small town next to the base. Walking down the Main Street we passed a Pub, the White Swan? (been 43 years) and about 100 meters further a small delivery truck stopped us and the driver asked "Hey, mates do you know where the White Swan pub is?" He asked the only question about anywhere in England that we could answer! John

Not to far,not to fast.

I had an injection in my right wrist yesterday, I should have let it take hold but we have a mini heat wave English style and the road beckons. 😇

As usual it took me 30 mins to choose a knife it drives me crazy.

In the end I took this knife from the outdoors store that I re profiled and oiled the handle,I just like its simplicity.😁

Home made Victoria sponge,a good pot of tea while sitting in the shade of a parasol, its the simple things I like.😊

JTF,
The photo of the flowers reminds me of a photo that my Father took in England. He and my Mother were visiting a small village, back in the 1980's, and saw an elderly gentleman in his yard with a beautiful flower garden. My Father asked if he could take a photo of the garden and the gentleman together, as it was obviously his pride and joy. The elderly gentleman agreed, IF my Father would promise to send him copy of the photo. When my parents returned to the USA, my Father had the film developed and as promised sent the photo back to England. Sometime later he got a letter from the man's daughter saying how happy her Father had been to receive the photo. She said it also meant a lot to her as it was the last photo she had of her Father, who had died shortly after receiving the photo. John
