I love seeing old tools brought back to life so they can keep on working & being enjoyed.Same old picture of one of my many $5.00 cigar box gun show knives, I love cleaning them up.
Nice workI found this Klein TL-29 in an old toolbox recently.
It's a work in progress right now, it's cleaning up nice though. It was missing the bail, so I drilled out the previous hole to clean it up & installed a brass insert made from an old fitting. Then added the bail back on.
A perfect candidate for Thrifty Thursday!

So far I don't detect any sign of off-gassing or deterioration. I have a few celluloid handled folders and I keep them out in the open and away from my other knives, I've heard the horror stories about aging cell. I picked this one up a couple years ago specifically because I like the look of waterfall celluloid, and I like copperheads.Interesting celluloid. How is it holding up? I don't see any obvious signs of offgassing.
Is that the blue agate ESPL? Great looking. Mine was way darker.carried this little guy in a while so gonna have it in my pocket for a few days to fix that.
Yup, I like this material for a knife handle way more than I thought I would. It does look pretty light in this picture but it’s a few shades darker in most lighting. Is that the blue agate ESPL? Great looking. Mine was way darker.
