That's fabulous. I was looking at the rosewood and wasn't sure but wowsers.
Brilliant thanks. I think I'll go for the whittler.I also tend to rub a little brown paste shoe polish into it to help fill the grain a little.
Nice Mike.Threw the Buck 301 in my pocket this morning while I worked on the car.

You're a good Dad, MitchNice Mike.
Changing tires mate?
I had do that a few weeks ago. Having a Saturday morning sleep in. Got call from the youngest on the way to work. "dad I've a flat tire" where are you? Says me "top of the windy road!" Luckily I knew where that was. So went straight over and I changed the tire, told her to take out car to work and we would go and get the tire fixed or replaced, needed to be replaced, so we got 4 new 1s, that Lilly had to pay for. The things dad's do, all on no coffe too![]()
Great blade etch on that one, Greg!
I was pretty happy with this pair I ended up toting today. One of my favorite GECs and a nice Albers Lambsfoot.

I was actually installing a new battery. Its located in front of the left front wheel, necessitating the removal of the wheel and part of the fender liner as well. Had I been the engineer on it, access would have been drastically better![]()
Thanks, Barrett.![]()
Great looking pair you have there too, my friend. I recognize the knife slip in your pic and sure missed seeing you and the fellas at Janesville this spring. Looks like it'll be next year before we can catch up again in person.
Well that's crazy.You're a good Dad, Mitch

Ah dad's to the rescue it will be your turn 1 day Barrett.I had to wake my dad up at like 1 AM once in college when I was stuck on the side of the highway with a flat tire. I would’ve been fine on my own (hell, my first high school job was in a tire shop), but I was driving this old Jeep XJ and little bottle jack it came with could raise it high enough to get the flat tire off, but not enough to get the full-size spare on. Then to make matters worse, when I got the jack extended as high as it could go, it locked up and wouldn’t go back down!So I had to call my dad and ask him to drive like 45 minutes to bring me a floor jack.
My wife’s last car was like that. What a terrible design.
Thanks, Greg. I was sorry to hear about your truck problems. Why can’t stuff like that happen on the way to jury duty or something, and not on your way to a knife show?!We definitely missed seeing you there.
I had these two with me today, Mike Moran sheepsfoot and one of my favorite little spearpoint #25s. My wife and a couple friends of ours ran a 5k this morning. Not my idea of fun, but the start/finish was at a local brewery, so I kept an eye on the kids and held down a table while they ran the race.
