I was well prepared, but the only cutting I did today was with the Cub Cadet.

Cool damp morning here today as I sip coffee on my front porch while the dog naps in the corner. Been carrying this AGR big bladed sowbelly the past couple days. The yellow handles brighten up a cloudy day.
Have a great rest of your weekend folks. :)

Looks like a very comfy, cosy and relaxing front porch. I’d take a nap there in the corner any day!

Do you the comp helps?
Yes sir. It removes about a third of the felt recoil. Its still pretty manageable without it. The long slides weight helps with muzzle jump. Recoil is more of a wallop vs being snappy like a .44 mag.

Everything on its upgraded. The barrel and comp is made by Lone Wolf. I also dropped in a 1.2lb, 2 stage trigger 😏 It really helps with trigger torque. At 100 yds on a bench, I can average 2-3 inch groups.

Should anyone ask, I have NO idea what that wooden figure is. Found it years ago in some of my dad's stuff after he passed.
Best guess is he picked it up somewhere overseas while in the military. Who knows why he might have hung onto it.
It's been tossed and beat around in junk for decades and whatever facial features there once were, are long gone.
Whatever it is or was or was a part of ... it's 75+yrs old. Just looks kinda appropriate with the Japanese made knife.

Sabre Japan 620 barehead slim trapper. According to Goins, made in Japan 1960-1980.
There was a time when you could ride around all day and find these at Woolworth's for about a buck or so.
Lightweight to tote and this one, sharp, pointy, and ready to work.

I thought the long slide would tame the recoil. Nice grouping.

For the yard yesterday (Hermanos Paya on top), but I was too busy with the maple in back to get to the honeysuckle in front. Ladder, bow saw, and machete for the maple. I got the yard waste bin full of the cleanup, but there's more for next week.
I love that Tramontina 24" machete. It will snick through some pretty thick branches if I remember to go for velocity and forget about force.
