What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

………two grades of Micromesh to the handle, took all the sharp edges off, finished up with very fine, then a going over with metal polish…….much nicer to handle now.

Removed the original lanyard and put my own leather one on - now this pocketknife is ‘mine’

Headed to town so Cindy can get her hair cut and then on to lunch at the Brass Rail Restaurant and errands around town. This re-pro Remington Baby Trapper will make the trip with me.

Yeah, wives. Mine won't let me cut her hair either.
Steak and egg for breakfast. I'm outta here for the day. My better half is hosting a "Summer Birthday Bash Party" for her girlfriends. There's no way I want to be the only guy at the party.
There are many things I can do! As long as I stay outta trouble!

When Vik comes home after getting together with her girlfriends, and I ask "how's Tony?", she says "you don't think we sit around and talk about our husbands, do you?"
My friend, Gene, grew up on a farm outside of Richland, Mo. I've heard him say that the only time people locked their cars there was during zucchini season 😀
Do they still make Richline boats in Richland? I still have Grandpa's Richline fishing boat he bought new in the late '50s.
Years ago, rt. 7 was our route down to the Lake getting off the highway at Richland. That was before all the widening and straightening. Grandpa called it the 'ol cow path.

AFAIK Richline is no more :(
A company called Playcraft makes pontoon boats in Richland. Gene's mom worked in a boat factory many, many years ago. I'm not sure which one. It could have been Playcraft, Richline or she may have been commuting to Lebanon and working in the Tracker factory there.

Both the knives I'm posting today are Top Ten knives in their respective categories for me. (My schedule is usually set up so that half my knives each week are Top Ten, and half are not.)

I'd bet the workers from Richline just became Playcraft workers. Richline's specialty was aluminum fishing boats, and I think pontoons are still aluminum.
And Bass Pro Shop did not exist back then.

Ever fished the Gasconade River around Richland? Great smallmouth fishing!
Big Piney, too.

Here's the debris from my day's knife usage. Next to my camp chair under the sugar maple...

Two gallons that went straight into the freezer. And the vines have not really kicked into high gear yet.
This is why I usually take a carbon steel Stockman if I know I'll be trimming beans ~
the shorter secondaries are the right size ( so I don't stab my left hand), and I love the blue patina beans put on carbon.
