Harvesting greens with my Opinel. The utter simplicity yet perfect functionality of this knife is amazing. It’s a perfect food knife.

Thought I'd come out of retirement just to say "Happy Birthday @ModocEd !" We got new trash bins to go with our recycle bins, and you should see the *orderly* line they make on Friday mornings. It's actually cleaned up the city and made it a better place to live (way less trash and litter). Ed has had the answers all along, right under our noses. Here's to 82 more Ed!

Since Ed is USNavy, ret., you mean your garbage cans are all lined up like seamen, mates, and all the galley staff on the foredeck.
And always make sure you spit down wind!
You've seen my shirt, I guess.

Hey @5KQs/Professor Gary,

"were absolutely riveting, even if my style was not."

Riveting is the exact word I come up with imagining your public speakage.

My first awareness of gas prices was my Dad's enthusiasm over gas wars while filling the tank on the thirsty 390 in our Mercury Colony Park station wagon on one of our trips to the Ozarks. Not counting four or five family cars I first drove, the first one with my name on the title was a '72 Olds Delta 88 with 455 cu.inches of I'm thirsty. Great car. I think the guy I sold it to wanted it for demolition derbies.

Did you tie that sheetbend, or is it the cover photo?

AND….

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ED!!! 😎🥳🥳
That's a muskrat after my heart
Well, today's my birthday. Eighty two (82) years old. Nothing planned for today but will go to dinner (supper in some parts of the country) Saturday night at Antonio's Italian Restaurant in town. My birthday present came in the mail yesterday- a Buck Slim Select 112 Ranger but I can't show it here as it has thumb studs and a clip so I'll show my latest Traditional - a Crimson Case Large Stockman and sing "Happy Birthday To Me" while posting this. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.
