What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Fabulous picture, Jack!! That knife sure looks well cared for;what is the name of it?:thumbup:

Thanks Mr G, taken outside a country pub after my walk today :) The knife is a Carl Schlieper given to me by Duncan (Campbellclanman), it's from the 1940's I believe. It's in lovely condition. Uncle Andi has its twin. I don't know what the pattern is called, and neither does Andi, but I'm starting to think of it as my Volksmesser! :D

Ah yes...Jack and Thom ...the joy of the Castor ripples out from across the pond. Glad to see yours, sitflyer!!

Went apple picking with the kids today and used this baby to slice up lots of apples for me and the children.

There is some unfortunate rust on these blades (work in progress) but this old Western snaps hard and has some great bone.

I could seriously look at this gorgeousness all day!

It was quite neglected and mistreated but then I like the "well worn ones". I dug more lint out of it then I have ever seen in an old knife. Its found a good home now. Thanks for your words and the smile.

Glad you managed to get one Duane, aren't they a great little knife? :)

I've missed that green 66, Jack :)

Me too Paul, it's a smashing little knife, always good to have in my pocket :)
