My plan is to one day see Bison for real, apparently they have been reintroduced to Europe.❤️

Come visit me ... only half kidding, we have room, and I have a second bike to go see the American Bison with you if you like. You only need to bring a helmet :)

The European version (which we call "Wisent" in German) is slightly different though.

Vik pointed out the red sunrise, so I shot one of my always on me SAKs.

Merry Christmas, my friends!

Thought I would add a shot of the '55 Gibson J45 I'll be using for services tonight~View attachment 3058466

You are in for a storm inside 48 -72 hours. ☹️

I don't know guitars.
I gotta say though: "That 70 year old Gibson looks to be in fantastic shape."
Question: Is that white thing with a cable a pickup? Is it factory?

Merry Christmas my friend.
I bet that Gibson will sound great playing Christmas Carols and other music tonight.

Another rainy day here in the City by the Bay🌧️. Looks like the weather may be an issue for Santa later today but I figure he’s a pro and he’s been there done that. In the meantime keeping me company with a nod to Wooden Wednesday a couple of nice ones. Have a great Xmas Eve folks! 🎅

Yes, they predict rain.
Yes, that is a soundhole pickup. It's a cheap one that one of the sound guys bought hoping to amplify a cello, not knowing that it is only for guitars. I reimbursed him and took it home.
It makes an easy way to amplify a vintage guitar without invasive surgery. Sounds surprisingly good through an amp at home.

I'll play the melody high up on the neck while my two other guitar partners play chords.
