The jigged bone and the spear blade are perfect on this knife.
The comb obviously isn't for everybody, but everything else about this knife is perfect.

A 301. This one was made in-house by Buck in 1992 before they switched to the "edge 2000" super hollow grind. They were using 420HC at that point.

I haven’t seen many pictures of the burlap micarta #54’s. The micarta has a sheen to it that’s different than the burlap #47 I have. I’m guessing it’s a difference between Tidioute vs. Northfield. Also for any wondering the walk and talk is good I’d give it a 6 on both blades. I was concerned it would be to light but honestly it’s perfect. I’d recommend getting one if you can. Based on my example. Thanks for reading.
