This is a photo of an English knife on an Irish wool cap owned by a a Scotsman named Hugh Campbell. I know nothing of Mr. Campbell, but his flat cap ended up in Armstrong's Secondhand shop in Ediburough. We flew there to meet our newborn Grandson, who is now nine years old, and lives in Colorado.
I thought it was not cultural appropriation for me to wear because I am a quarter Scot of the Duncan clan. From Perthshire to the coal mines around Bryceville Tennessee. Great Grandpa was killed in a coal mine disaster, and Grandpa and his brothers helped their Mom by hunting small game with a single shot .22, and foraging wild greens in the Smokies.

Really a cool guy who taught me a lot. He passed when I was a teenager, at the age I am now. I have his pocket knives, and the ones he bought me for fishing. Along with his fishing boat and rods and reels and tools.
