What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Locking Knife of the Week is a Boker USA electrician (thanks, Mark):

International Knife of the Week is a Böker Plus copper Atlas. I usually don't count my numerous Chinese-made knives in my International category, but this Chinese-made Böker Plus is apparently "the exception that proves the rule."

I find this a wonderful pattern, just right in size: a comfortable handle and a decent broad blade . This one is particularly good in bone AND with patina. 😍 The rocks you show some knives on give an excellent backdrop. But, I have to tell you they look suspiciously like the rocks outside the verandah at my country place....if I find them there I'll have to take these strays indoors and give them a decent home 🤣 Reality kicks in, as I haven't visited there for a while due to it being -15c and the rocks likely buried in snow :D Enjoy the week-end.

Thanks, Will

Going back to the (1980 date code) Western 062 Folding Hunter ...

(a previous owner, also named "Steve" engraved the name on the bolster & shield. I didn't mind, since I have the same name, plus it lowered the price to what I could afford. 😇👍)

and pre-date code Western 742 Stockman.

A partly cloudy day here in the City by the Bay 🌥️. Nothing on the agenda other than a phone appointment with my urologist to follow up on my surgery and what’s causing an apparent UTI. Hopefully I’ll just need some antibiotics🤞. In the meantime keeping me company with a nod to Black Friday two ebony beauties. Have a great day folks! 😀

Carrying an Ettrick today!! This one is a No-Name brand knife, somewhat crudely but sturdily made!! Note; instead of being tommied* on, the bolster is pinned with a brass pin!! Walnut handles (I think!)!!NoName 1.jpgNoName 2.jpg
*Note: a tommy pin is forged into the bolster, and used to fasten it to the liner!
