Another summer day here in the City by the Bay! Looks like we’ll be socked in again on this side of the City. Heading to the hospital for a C-Scan later apparently I have a very small gall stone 0.3mm and my urologist wants to know if it has passed if not it’s not a big deal. 661311 Calf Roper today. Over the years it got really grungy so I gave it a deep clean (even sanded it) and it's good to go now. As I reported yesterday, we completed the new air conditioner install and wouldn't you it it's 64º this morning and the Monitor Heater is going. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

Agreed. I don’t have many older jigged bone knives. I’m stuck on the newer traditionals for the time being. Discovery is the best part of our affliction!

stockman Sunday,real solid knife with a nice fairly thin coping blade that can get razor sharp if you are not as unskilled as me when it comes to sharpening knives,I better at getting axe sharp lol.

You will not regret if you do ... provided you like and will carry the Case x375 size stockman.
The T-10 blades have a great heat treat. I have had zero issues after re-profiling to 10 DPS/20° inclusive on all my knives in the (original) "Classic Carbon" series.

Even better, a Arkansas oil stone, or even a smooth river/stream rock will restore the edge, if you misplaced (or forgot to bring) your pocket sharoening stone.

The edge lasts me a couple weeks to a month, before needing a stone.
I always strop first to restore the working edge before using a stone.stone. If stropping does not work, a couple swipes on the stone is all it takes.

The carpenter jeans I am wearing has a deep enough leg tool pocket to swallow it whole.
5CR5CR15MoV blade on my last two (including this one). My first (and both my ELANDS) were equipped with 1.1446 KRUPP blades.

Of the three KUDO and two ELAND I have had, this is the first to need the spring adjusted so it closes with only a pound ... pound point five ... or so pull on the ring.

I "think" I like the ratchet lock better than the slipjoint version that I also have.

I’ve been packing this one all day today. With such beautiful weather, it seemed appropriate for a spring inspired knife. Crappie71 I didn’t realize you were packing yours until I was making this post. At least one other person on the planet thinks like me today
