What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

The internet says arbeiter means worker, and I already knew messer means knife, so it looks like you've plugged it into the right rotation category🧐
Thanks for the confirmation, Jeff.:thumbsup:;)
Before I posted that knife, I looked at an internet translator, too, since I couldn't remember what name had been given for the knife when I had my daughter buy it for me from a European website while she lived in Spain. I was quite sure it had been listed as either Arbeitsmesser (work knife) or Arbeitermesser (workman/worker knife), and since the folder of photos on my computer for that knife was labelled "workman", I figured that was probably the English translation of the German name for the knife. (The Otter site no longer shows a knife like the one I have. The closest pattern I see is one with a big spearpoint blade instead of a sheepsfoot, and it's called Webermesser (weaver knife), so maybe it's the current German version of a loom fixer pattern.)

Case Knife of the Week is a 1965-69 jigged bone canoe (thanks, Tim). It's one of the few single-spring canoes I have among my many canoe examples; very slim! Definitely one of my Top Ten Canoes.

Colonial/Imperial/Schrade Knife of the Week is a SAK clone from Colonial. I'm not sure where/when I got this knife, but I used to take it to "summer camp" with me when I'd go to Purdue University for 2 weeks each summer (1984-2000) to teach a class for academically talented middle school kids, and also stayed in the dorms with them as a "counselor". I'm guessing I took it with me instead of my Forest-Master scout knife because the SAK clone had more tools and a bail so I could attach it to me. (IIRC, this knife spent most of its time in those days in the backpack that stored all my softball equipment.)

I decided to return to a Buck 110. (The Western 062 has been stabled.)

in the mean tyme, i will carry the 110 and the Case 6375cv in a midieval belt bag.)
The 110 chosen is a C&C SFO with "oak" covers, and a 5160 clip point blade, that was gifted to me 4 or 5 ... mebby 6 year ago.

This darn thing won’t stay out of my pocket. I knew I really liked the model before I ever got my hand on one, but the 34 with single spring and short warnie blade, with carbon steel is hard to beat. Still looking for an ivory acrylic or amber/black example at the right $. Anyway, this dude for the next little while with a possible 1 day interruption here and there.
