Yep. Those oak pews get uncomfortable on my knee after a few minutes. I keep changing position ~ leg straight, leg bent...
But after sitting on the sidelines for three weeks, the first two watching from home on their live feed, I was more than ready to suck it up because I have the greatest guitar playing gig I've ever had. No schlepping all over, lugging gear in and out of clubs, drunks and late, late nights...

I do play on a stool, but I usually did anyway. And the band is nice enough to wait while I hobble up front.

Sorry you're not getting a respite from that back pain!

There's a Canadian movie called the steps were the actor dances to a song momma let them play by Canadian musician gerry doucette, at home while goofing off in front of the wife I mimick the actor dancing to it, then a few weeks back the band af the legion played mamma let me play and the wife coaxed me to go through the whole routine from the guy sitting on the chair untill the end, my back and knees didn't work for 2 days,jeff music will force you off that stool believe you me lol.
