Probably can use the hawkbill to cut some more cilantro plants, so I can sit in my camp chair under the sugar maple and strip seeds at the end of the day. And then I can keep an eye on the neighbors coming in and out of our tiny neighhorhood. The old fart's version of following the neighborhood chat group.
"Heads up! A wolf just crossed my back yard!!!"
"Um, I think it was a coyote."
"Anybody seen my chicken?"

My wife has an herb garden, so I should've recognised them. I thought they looked like marijuana seeds. I just figgured you were planning on growing a cash crop next year, along with tomatoes & beans.

Good morning from Southern Mississippi. It is 84° with a steady cool breeze. Going to be 94 today. I’m going to get more fishing in before the sun gets too high.
Not much but small speckled trout eating but I’ll take any action on a 4wt fiberglass fly rod.

Where is the pup when you need him?

At 10 months, he's still technically a puppy, but I no longer worry about a single coyote.
When the hackles on his back go up, he means business.
The backyard is secured by fencing, and have never found yote tracks back there, only outside the fence. Deer and raccoons come in, and I'd rather have Duncan fight a yote than a coon. Manny used to get into it with them, and I'd struggle to separate them enough to shoot the coon. I had to quit putting out sunflower seeds because the chipmunks, squirrels, and coons cannot stay away from them.
Right now, as I finish my breakfast, Duncan is right here.

Yeah, but then the neighbor's teenagers (and their Dad) would be raiding the garden!
Even though they look similar, they sure smell different.
