Thanks for the heads-up. I did not know that they had started using it on non-stainless.Frank, it did until they started putting the acorn shield on carbon steel fixed blades. But if it says CYCLOPS, then it's 440C.
I remember GEC went through a period when they said 440C caused too much wear on their tooling and they made a decision not to produce anything other than non-stainless. Maybe they decided they no longer needed to separate out the acorn shield.
