and a SAK for me as well today. Was running late and hid the 55 from myself somehow, I saw the copper shinning at me from the desk and it got the last minute call :)

Those Copper ALOX are good looking...I gave one to my daughter this year for her birthday!

ha ha, no prob man :B
Got the Standard Issue as a beater blade while waiting for my Rat 2 to come in and now i'm in love with the SI more then the rat 2,
and slip joint love in general.
Got the solitaire as a way to lessen the urge to buy a GEC/Northwoods :B

I hear ya! If a person starts carrying and using those big ALOX SAKs...they can get under your skin pretty fast!!!

I've obsessed on them since the 80's! :D

My little DAVID aka Case Peanut has a new friend, called Goliath aka HUBERTUS 13.334.H.00 (4.5 inch closed, 3.5 inch blade)
David takes care of 95% of the job, Goliath does the heavy rest!

I have bought it inside the HUBERTUS factory store in Solingen - it's NOS from the 1950th and a real treasure :)

It has typical german-silver bolsters, called "Hahnekopp", that means something like "roosters head".

That Hubertus is spectacular. I really like their blades. We don't see enough of them around here.

Picked this stainless No.8 up yesterday, ground it to a drop point and reshaped the handle. Took it out riding around the lake today. First Opinel and I can see the appeal of these things.

I love the idea of yellow handled traditional slip joints, but always default to natural materials. Today, Saturday, I'm going to make amends by carrying these:

i been doin the yella soddie all week.
what i really like is that i can pinch open the blade with gloves on. i only got 2 knives that i can do that with.

course i been eyeballing a canal street half-moon trapper lockback which is pretty spiffy, but for the price i just dont think its 3x the knife of the soddie even as much as i love the blade shop on the thing :p

Today I'm carrying my Boker Jack, and the 1970 Case Stockman Gevonovich kindly sent me a while back :)

Yesterday in the ancient Oak grove at Stanford University. Still trying to catch the fire in these beauteous 55s.

Chief, that is a gorgeous looking Remington! I love the rat tails on the bolsters, and the swedge on the clip is fantastic. Great photo

plain vanilla hardware store knife- "PROV CUT"; looks like a TL-29 footprint with a coping blade rather than the screwdriver:

My very first knife given to me on my sixth birthday 1978 along with my first fresh water fishing rod, starting two passions a Kamp King, I still have it

Pete

-mine was a "CAMPER", I was about seven, the old man bought it for me on a Saturday morning trip to Mentor Hardware, I got a leather belt clip with a snap to carry the knife in the bargain- started a "me too!!" landslide in the neighborhood, with several "Kamp Kings" being represented. That one is long gone, but I had others:)
