you know when i was at the gun show i found some shrade old timers (i even found a 50t lockback in green usa shrade+ but its the only us model i saw where i was sure it was US made)

anyways, i came across one of these trapper liners and was inspecting it to see if it was us or new taylor brand and got to talking to the dealer, he then tells me that the old style ones (ie american made) didnt come with the liner lock  so apparently you have a proto-type taylor brand old timer there :D

just thought i would share lol

A gift from a forum member that really cheered me up. Thank you Simple Man for the great knife and kind gesture:

I think it looks great paired with this Sodbuster:

The 194OT is indeed named the Gunstock Trapper, first listed in 1976 (a very good vintage for Schrade), and produced thru 1997. First, it was simply named "Lock Blade", then in '78 called "Pocket Lockblade", and in 1987, "Gunstock Trapper Lockblade", which was a mouthfull, so in 1996, it became just "Gunstock Trapper". One full 3 3/16" Turkish clip blade with a liner lock, it spawned a two blade version, the 94OT, and the 503SC Scrimshaw knife. When it was dropped in 1998, according to Clemente, it was the last remaining liner lock in a classic trapper pattern in the industry. It was produced again several times, last listed in 2004. I am certain that it was used for special and limited editions, and maybe these guys can post some pics of them.

That's an absolute beauty. Will it be an edc? What's the second blade on there, pen blade?

Thanks, she is a beaut, once the sharpening was done, all but the pen blade needed some extensive bevel profiling, but now she's good to go, might part with her once my GEC Viper arrives, not sure yet, as those two extra blades are handy to have around and as you can see lay in pretty close to the handle frame, here's a shot of the two smaller blades, one pen, one clip, the main blade rides on two back springs and has a tapered center separating the two of them, all three blades have good walk and talk, of course the main more than the two smaller ones.
