What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Some great pics all around today

Worked today, working tomorrow, and well you get the point

Almost finished with this project...

Of course the viper helped me out all day. Cutting up cardboard for glue, rags, faucet box, shims, caulking. Helped me cut.the corner template I needed to finish the island that finally arrived at the job site.

That beauty fits right in with that high end work you create. Very cool!

Thanks Kevin.

I carried the 55 the other day for the first time snce the viper showed up. Not going to go over all the comparison time I have spent handling the two . I went right back to the viper. Maybe if my 55 was not a LL version it would be more of a fair fight but, the 55 seems cumbersome now. I can open the viper with one hand if needed yet the snap and walk and talk are great. The 55 is much stiffer and I would argue that my 55 has been opened and closed more then any other. It has not eased up one bit (which I like) and if not for the viper I would say its got the best action out of all. GEC is just getting in the zone and the viper is an amazing knife. No surprises that its almost 100% sold out in what less then 2 months? I am not taking anything away from the houndstooth. The bigger handle and blade just give it more usability for me and my needs. Still not counting the 55 out just yet. I think I will carry it again for a week to truly see if im over it now. At any rate, not a bad problem to have lol

These are good problems! I always appreciate your thorough reviews. Your 55 is still awesome but I like the looks of your viper even better.

Thanks Kevin.

Today it was an Alox Cadet in a new color for me, and a Buck 424 that is not pictured due to the plastic handles.

Thanks again, Kevin. As you can tell, im getting close to writing my next review/comparison. Now I just need to send both of them over to you for proper photographs ;)

Nah you do great yourself. But hey if you want to send them to me :-p

Looking forward to your review, Jeff :)

Couldn't agree more, Jeff. There's something about the Viper that just keeps me reaching for it over numerous others. Looking forward to your thorough review.

GEC #15 Scout Knife and my F. Hartkopf Stag Lockback ... both are some of my favorite knives :)

Today what looks like my regular pairing at least until my White Owl comes home to roost..
