What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

We just had the basement recarpeted, and today I get to put up new baseboards all around. This little RR is helping me!

Ah, thank you:)

I'm off a huntin'

It's different in a few ways from normal whittlers. First, it has a really thick main blade, ideal for serious stock removal or other heavy cutting chores. It also has two springs, one for each small blade and both in effect for the wharnie. This means extra tension on the big blade. The shape of the blade gives lots of area to grab to open against the spring pressure. The picture below shows the blade thickness compared to a standard trapper.

Thanks for the insight. Sunken joints too, very cool! May be my first Case....

#7 please!

Just scarfed a #9 from the right. The best Chinese/Vietnamese food in town, locally owned by genuine Chinese and right across the street from me. It's the best I've had since 45 years ago when I spent a few years in that part of the world. I always make it a point to carry a nice knife to show off since they appreciate them.

Hmm, wish we had one of those local...:(

Do they deliver??:)

My '71 case for general cuttin' chores and a vic-alox for all the stuff I don't want to use a knife for like scrapin' and pryin' and the like...

Nice looking old folding hunter. I really like the pattern, I have one from '81 myself.
