What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Awesome, Tim! Congrats!

Sam, I really like what I see of that one. Can you post a pic from another angle please?

I've been a keyboard commando with finishing up my first year of grad school but was able to escape and get in the garden today. This was my tool of choice for harvesting about a bushel of kale, it didn't disappoint.

Thanks for the nice comments Jim and sitflyer. It's made by Graham Sparks, a South African maker. I wouldn't call it strictly a custom as I think it is part factory assembled. I shows to be honest as the back spring isn't quite flush in the closed or half stop position. As you said sitflyer, the lines forgive those faults for me:)

He has designed a series of them based on patterns by the Sheffield maker from the 1900's, Joseph Rogers. All timeless, I had a hard time choosing! At a guess I'd say the frame is 3.5" and the blade is 2.5. The butt of the knife widens nicely too and dovetailed bolsters finish things off:)

Home for lunch then back out to stain a couple of decks today before the rainy weekend. If lucky tonight and the rain holds off I'll be using the caplifter for a beer or two to compliment the "La Unica 500" I plan on enjoying on my own deck:

Work before play, I suppose. Very nice Radio Jack and nickel !! :)
