I've always admired that knife, Caine. 2007 I think. A classic worth carrying around the world.

With your permission, I will embiggen:

Now my middle aged eyes can see it on my phone.

I have been lurking over here for a while now. The passion you guys have for traditional knives and the beautiful pics made me open up my wallet this weekend. Ordered two to see what all the excitement was about. My first traditional arrived today, a Northfield #55 in Burnt Stag. A bit smaller than I expected but I truly like the size now. Fits in the pocket nicely and it is so light. Beautiful handles and excellent fit and finish. Also has a perfectly centered blade. I could not be more happy right now! Thank you all for the inspiration to expand my knife interests!!

Can we get more info about this great ole knife? I wonder if that bone is so pocket worn that it has lost a lot of it's color or if it was originally made to look natural bone?? Nice photo too!:thumbup::)

Its a favorite one of mine. The Beekman Cutlery Co. Germany. c. 1900-1930 and one of the multitude of Adolf Kastor brands (most likely but not confirmed). Very pocket worn and about 4 &1/8th closed. Thank you very much, Primble Sir

Good lookin' knife, fot0! I have a #55 with a wharncliffe blade and really like how comfortable it is. Great choice!

Wow, fot0! For a first traditional folder, you hit the ball out of the park! That's a beauty!

I've carried this everyday in my front left pocket since getting it .
I really love this knife .
It has developed a symbiotic relationship with my Sebenza , they go everywhere together .
The Seb for rough work and the 1940T for delicate slicing and fine work .

Just swapped out the SAK Super Tinker For the Old Cross Electrician, combined with my Maratac AAA and Canvas Bull Nose:thumbup:
