What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Recycled pic but it's what I'm toting today.....

Two great knives Robert that get scary sharp:thumbup:

orange Farmer until later in the day;)

That SAK Farmer looks like a really useful knife to tote, kinda like a Harness Jack & Radio Jack + a saw blade, all in one.

I was looking to buy my first Alox and thought a red Farmer might be the one, but, ended up ordering a black Alox minichamp.

I like your orange one quite a bit. That matching lanyard looks great too.

Then there is that worn old SAK Pioneer that SAK Guy keeps posting that I like a bunch.

You guys have got me looking at all kinds of "different" knives, dad-gone-it!:D

Thanks Primble. I carried a SAK for years, often times with another traditional then got away from them for some odd reason:o

Then Robert (SAK Guy) started showing all his beauties that renewed an interest that never should've waned.

Glad to be back with a SAK---Hey that could be a great T-Shirt:p

Finally! I've wanted a stockman for awhile and snagged this one! After some polish on the etch which was just to bold for my taste. A good clean out and some sharpening and mineral oil on the ebony and joints its in the pocket tonight! Good walk and talk! Weird having no halfstops tho.. its been awhile. Just a little wiggle in the sheepsfoot which would get there anyways from carving.

The Calf Roper is one of my favorite GEC patterns and your ebony version is beautiful and well photographed.

Paul,
I sure am glad you opened that Photobucket account and we can now see your beauties in all their glory. Looks like you caught the close of another day there in Scotland and I like your GEC, as well as the concept and execution of your photo.;)

Best regards,
Primble

thanks Primble, I need to get some of that beautiful old red bone from case to practice with though, it seems to make wonderful pictures whenever you post them, they are the envy of the forum.

That is a beauty burnside :D

coffee break with a couple of garibaldis and my moore maker.

J.A. Henckels red bone carbon steel congress pattern, acquired in a knife trade with my neighbor a few years back. I am not sure how old it is, other than it had been in his family for quite a few years. The bone on this knife is really beautiful when the sun illuminates it, otherwise it is kinda plain. The steel seems to sharpen up rather easily. :)

mm mmmm squashed fly biscuits.heres the 92 eureka from pmew.
Couldn't agree more Primble. I've got a couple that are dull as dishwater in the "wrong"light but when they catch the sun an inner beauty shines forth(geez i should be writing commercials for cosmetics).

In your pictures it looks fantastic Meako! I don't know why it didn't get carried much. One of life's little mysteries. :)
