What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Stephen,

Not sure about the handle material, maybe mammoth?? What ever it is, it is a beauty!:)

Thank you! :) It's American Elk. One of the very few stainless GEC models I own, but also one of my favorites.

gorgeous, Stephen!! Super fine!

Thanks for the compliment. :) The Elk dresses this one nicely, and with a single spring, it carries like a dream, even at 3 3/4".

Should have made a better guess.

I actually have a C. Platts Baby Butterbean with Elk Stag and propellor shield, which resembles your handles.:)

This has seen constant pocket time since its creation, and it looks to stay that way for a while... I just can't stop staring at the ivory, and the bronze has started to develop a slight patina giving it that aged look. I can't wait to see more of the blue/green tones as the patina further develops! If you couldn't tell, I'm especially proud of this one!
And well you should be proud. That is one exceptional Beauty! Love the color's of the ivory, and the design of the knife. :)

Nice American Elk 62 half-congress, Stephen! That pattern seems to be overlooked, as it is a slim beauty. I have the same model in Bird'seye Maple, also very pretty. Bonus, the 440C stainless blades take a fine edge that holds up well.

My Marbles Loveless Sport was in the mail today, with a beautifully made sheath from Claude Scott. Accompanied by a T.A. Davison in ATS 34 and Sambar stag with a Sambar stag cap lifter from Vince.

Also in the post, this is a gift for a good friend who stops by once a year so we can fish the world class Big Hole river in his ClackaCraft. I think he will like it.

Kris

Great knives and photos!

Wow, very interesting knife CJZ! Would you mind telling us a bit more about it? Looks to have a sheepsfoot and spear or maybe wharncliffe. Would love to know more about it.

Nice work Evan!:thumbup::)

Had some work done at the house today, so had to stay home all day. Carried the Schrade Walden 890.

Thank you, Stephen! What you see is actually two blades, the right side is a spear and the left is a sheepsfoot. I only say left and right instead of master and secondary because the blades are so big haha! It's pretty dark out now, tomorrow when there is more light I would happily take more pictures if you'd like. :)

VERY COOL I must say! That blade combo is fantastic also. That's just a masterpiece. I doubt I'd ever put that knife aside. Especially since it's handmade. Excellent combination of materials and selection of pattern and blades. Beautiful!

Yes, I'd love to see some more pictures. Kind of unique (at least for me) to see a full size spear and sheepsfoot on a pattern like that. Who's the maker? Also, what's the closed length? Don't mean to pester you, but I'm really intrigued by that one. Very cool, and thanks in advance!
