Carrying my old Ulster BAS knife again today :)

 
Scored a Stainless Handle,(all stainless) Kutmaster Equal End Jack for a dollar at the tractor swap meet yesterday, from the 50s and I'd say it's about 90%, a little wear on the blades from a sharpening or two but otherwise like it looked the day they made it,

You can still get a good deal on a traditional knife but just to counter point this another hit was selling the same knife and it was bent, the knife looked like it went through hell and he wanted $10, when I tried to talk some sense into him he told Mr to go away. :rolleyes: whatever...

I love talking to vendors at swap meets about knives, :rolleyes: most of these guys don't know a hilt from a jimp :rolleyes: yet still they proclaim to be self taught knife experts... he says while shaking his head..... ;)

Thank you. My wife and I were walking around an antique store, kind of a mothers day /birth day/date, while the kids were at school. I couldn't resist it, for10 bucks. It was rusty, but the springs are good, and while it was dull, it appeared to be un-sharpened. The rust cleaned up pretty well, leaving a bit of pitting, but not enough to bother me. I haven't been able to leave it at home since. I love the shape of the blade on these.

Beautiful, and congratulations. Now, if I could get my church to serve beer at put luck, or pick nicks, etc, I bet attendance would double. Something to work on, I guess.
