The trusty lil Peanut and my grail Barlow - gabon ebony with long-pull single spear. Life is good!

The way I see it, at least once in a man's life he needs to try a cigar. As you can see, I didn't get very far. I'm thinking that cigar smoking must be an acquired taste, and one I'm not likely to acquire.

It certainly is an acquired taste!

If a quiet relaxing smoke is what you might like, try a decent pipe. Find a tobacconist and get your nose into each jar of shag cut and take in the notes and smells! Plenty of pipes to choose from too and... you have an excuse to buy a pipe knife!

Although I enjoyed cigars back in the day, I have always preferred a pipe when sat down and chilled out on my own.

Great pic!! I love the way the #66 Slim looks. I'd be carrying one of mine but I'm trying to stick to my #15 for June. I had to sand the Nifebrite scales a bit as they were a little too slippery for me.

Thanks Trand. I love my 15's but this one is just too sweet to put down. The blades are ground so thin it slices like mad. And I'll have to try that on the nifebrite.

I've been carrying this "improved" trapper for about a week:

Smooth ivory bone, not the most impressive smooth ivory bone example I've seen, but it is fine none the less. I really like this pattern.
