What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Totin a few around the dining room table today :)

My two nephews are with me until Tuesday. They were able to skip school as long as they completed a couple of history lessons and wrote about what they learned. They are 8 and 6 and just received their first traditional knives from their dad, so I thought a history lesson or two on traditional knives would be beneficial, not that I know all that much yet. I figured I would start with these.

I don't have an old Barlow any more, so I had to skip a few years ahead. This one had to do.

Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

Wow, beautiful!

So, I started the day with this one--and after many chores, lamb chops!

A looker, for true. #92s are knives that always look bigger to me in pictures than they reveal themselves to be in real life. I got to see a couple micarta-clad beauties such as yours while at the Rendezvous this year. Eye-catchers (and eminently useful knives), indeed.

They earned an "A" today. It was a lot of fun.

Wow, really great lessonry, Brett! Mind if we sit in next time? ;)

... I noticed no box of Band-Aids. Everyone escape intact?

Oh gosh do I like lamb chops, and awesome knives! You're doubly good in my book

I didn't have lamb chops but this did cut some deer tenderloin earlier today

 very nice; too bad we were not closer--a cook out would be in order! Love that dark jigged bone; which pattern is that, #81?

Carrying this Arthur Wright Lambsfoot in oxhorn today, with my Needham NAAFI knife :)

Many thanks to everybody for your well-wishes  I'm still pretty crooked but feeling better, only drag is today was a day off and I had plans to get outside for autumn walks, no such luck.:barf:

Not really 'carrying' knife properly today just shuffling about, but some new stuff has arrived yippee!

KBA Those are a really fine showcase of knives, I'd like to join the 'history lessons' too please:D

Regards, Will

Wow, every knife pictured is just so interesting. Instead of my enthusiasm for this hobby/interest waning over time, it's more ardent than ever.
Today I'm off work so I'm starting with this Camillus Jack that I'm fond of.
