What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Is the whaler blade and CUTTING EDGE under 3"?

I don't want to be pedantic but I need to know as in the UK a folding knife needs a blade(specifically worded as cutting edge) under 3" long to be deemed carry able without 'good reason'.

Id luuurv a whaler gut I think I remember it being toolong, but the lumber jack? Is just about right..?

Yesterday and today.

Really--is it practical? Do you find it to be a good edc? Please tell me more--I have been very, very conflicted about this. Thanks in advance!

Aias, I just rec'd the Whaler today so no real world experience with it yet. Practical? Like I mentioned in my post---if your a Whaler:D

No I'm sure this is just something to satisfy my curiosity:o It is one very SOLID knife and the ebony is gorgeous---I love the Tidoute tang stamp and as xceptnl said "Everyone needs a pocket peanut butter spreader!":D

Not really sure the blade would fit inside the mouth of the jar:p

I'll back pocket carry it some but I feel it will be a passing fancy;)

I think it's been said before, but that whaler looks like a knife in an old Popeye cartoon!

Rachael, I couldn't agree more---it's cartoonish and even more so in hand---but i like it:o
Not that cartoonish is bad. Anything that brings a smile to your face is a good thing. Speaking of:

I've been carrying "George" everyday-unless I'm going to be working with paint or glue.

Paul and Rachael, thanks so much--I think I like the ebony more than the blade shape; I've been eyeing a single blade lumberjack for some time. Likely, I'll wait and see if the fancy passes. Thanks again!

A Normark/EKA today(below left), along with the Western large stockman and the Buck 303. What an estate sale- that guy was crazier than me.

Seeing as it just came in the post today i suppose it should be this Queen City Copperhead, but seeing as i am still reeling from having to pay the equivalent of $24.50 in import tax and charges, i think i will carry my Goldenrod Talon ( no import tax ) today...
