What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It's close, LC really did a great job I think, the wood is so smoooth and dark it's hard to believe it hasn't been swapped. I really thought it was ebony :)

Glad you're enjoying it JB. If I may interject, I left the wood around the collar a tad proud in case you decide to put the locking ring back on. With past mods I've found that if there's no wood shoulder at all the locking ring can tend to fail to engage correctly and rather slips down when twisting pressure is applied.

Of course, I'd forgotten about the locking-ring! Very thoughtful of you my friend :)

I can't seem to figure out multi quoting right now, but thank you to akula, willgoy, and Gevonovich for your kind words. You guys have been posting some great knives, seems to have been a lot of really deep nice red bones.

I'm carrying all gifts today, and with that my modified opinel from jone (also fits for wooden wednesday, unintentionally):

I left you a Visitor Message on using Photobucket, John Lagoda. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks too, that makes sense:)

Seems like forever since I've been on the board and I'm just trying to catch up a bit now. No photos as I haven't been able to take any yet, but I've been carrying an Autumn Gold Bone Washington Jack since it was delivered on Monday. I hope all of you have been doing well, and it's nice to see that there's been no shortage of wonderful knives being posted since I've been gone.
